FAQ
Why is my word count different from Microsoft Word?
Different tools may define "word" slightly differently. This tool uses spaces and punctuation as word separators, and hyphenated words are counted as one word.
Are numbers included in the count?
Numbers are counted in the "Other Characters" category, not as vowels or consonants. Words containing numbers (e.g., "web3") are counted as one word.
Does it support other languages?
This tool is designed for English. Characters from other languages are counted in the "Other Characters" category.
Is there a character limit?
This tool can handle large amounts of text, but for browser performance, we recommend not exceeding 100,000 characters per input.
